Finished Site Visit 1: Bunnings Warehouse

For this tutorial excercise i visited Bunnings warehouse in Corio. I chose this commercial building because it is a great representation of long span, low rise construction and has easily recogniseable elements that we will be covering in the lecture on portal frames.

This photo is a great indicator of the span of the building and the open spaces required to store the products bunnings is selling.

This is the cieling of Bunnings warehouse. I chose to highlight this as my third photo because i thought it was a great 'skeleton' shot in terms of being able to see the insulation, the rafters etc. It gives great insight into the different elements of the structure.
